sequence of event when unload a window

I have this:
<html>
<head>
<script type=”text/javascript”>
function finishOff() {
confirm(“You want to see your changes?”);
}
</script>
</head>
<body onUnload=”finishOff()”>
</body>
</html>
If you run it, you can see that the browser window is closed before the confirmation pop up. Now the problem is that my user needs information on the scrren to help them to make decisions, and I want the confirmation window pop up befor the window is closed.

Is this doable in JavaScript?

@Khalid_AliMar 17.2004 — you might get this to work in IE,however,it this behavior is not supported by NS.

Its wrong to cause any inconvenience when a user is trying to close a window.Re-think your logic and solve it with other choice

@peiguoauthorMar 18.2004 — Actually I got it resolved by doing:

<html>

<head>

<script type="text/javascript">

function finishOff() {

return confirm("You want to see your changes?");

}

</script>

</head>

<body onUnload="finishOff()">

</body>

</html>
