World Map with Hovercards

Hi there,

I’m trying to create a webpage that will show a world map with Point markers to show locations on where the company has been. The point markers would also have hovercard functionality to display the location and give a description of what was done at that location. What would be the best way to accomplish this?

Here is what has been layered out so far:

@xelawhoDec 03.2014 — if you don't mind it being static, just add your point marker graphics to the map, turn it into an imagemap and do whatever you need to do when the user moueovers one of your locations.

if you want it to be a little more dynamic (zoomable, moveable, etc) have a look at an api like google maps - they have the functionality to do what you are talking about plus more

@TcobbDec 04.2014 — You might want to take a look at leaflet.js if I understand what you are wanting correctly. Just google "leaflet.js" and look at their website. Its open source.
