Missing styling after editing html

I am using Kompozer to edit text in html files from my site. I make changes in the wysiwyg screen and then save in the default xhtml format. I then upload the edited file to my site (html) in Cpanel. When I open the file in a browser (Chrome) the edited content is there but without styling.

Is this because the css within the html needs to refer to an external .css file?

Any help gratefully received.

@jedaisoulNov 16.2014 — I am not familiar with Komposer, but I would expect that it has the facility to view the code it creates? If so, is it not apparent where the CSS is being put, and hence why it is not in the HTML file?

The html file has:

<meta name="keywords" content="fundnation, uniprogy" />

<meta name="description" content="This site is powered by Fundnation" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/assets/de492915/all.css" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/themes/classic/css/help.section.index.css" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/themes/classic/css/bootstrap.css" />

<script type="text/javascript" src="/assets/65f2ed2e/jquery.min.js"></script>

which I presume is referring to an external stylesheet. There is a .css file in the same directory in Cpanel but the html file does not seem to be talking to it.

Many Thanks

@jedaisoulNov 21.2014 — What you need to check is what changes when you edit the web page. I.e. What file dates and times alter? Only then will you know precisely what needs updating on the live site (as well as the HTML file).

Failing that, just update all the CSS files linked in the HTML file! It is not an elegant solution, but if that does not solve the problem, then there is something mighty strange going on!

Hi,

You should have to add the font style and color code for the text in the required page.

Success!
