Ok im not sure what kind of code this uses but I would like to know how to make drop down menus like these–> hereand here
@MakaiyaMar 14.2004 — #Just recently I accomplished this actually. I have one sorta like those on my new site - except they drop down only when you click on them (pop down menu). Here's the page:
You have to modify it a bit of course, and on mine the nav menu titles (main, info, etc) are images rather than text, and I combined it with a rollover image script to give it that white to black and back effect. Hope this helps a bit. It took me forever to find a script like that, because I wanted a dropdown menu for my site so badly. My site is under heavy construction though, so keep that in mind. And according to a thread I started, it's also quite error filled. ? Oh well.

With a little bit of JavaScript so it also works in that lame thing we all know as IE…
where? I only see css, no js in the file, no event handlers, no import. I have a drop down on a site I am working on http://quasi-ke.servebeer.com/layout/ I do not suggest using the last poster's suggestions because those menu's are not accessable in the least. Atleast with the one on the site I just linked I will have a backup nav for users that have no java script.

Excuse me — it's actually JScript: Microsoft's rip-off of JavaScript. See: http://www.vladdy.net/Demos/IEFixes.htc.
But I see no references in the source code and the file is a client side file :/.
behavior: url('IEFixes.htc'); oh wait never mind, there it is.

Only css? Well, sorry, but I don't know what css is. (I'm working with it and have absolutely no clue). Honestly, I just got my host/domain recently, been working with angelfire for the past year and a half. I just put up the suggestion because it worked for me, and it was one of the only drop-down menu type codes where you don't have to upload or install anything. Simplicity is good, but not always best I guess. I don't know what's wrong with it. Every computer I've been on brought it up just fine, and the links work too. Yeah, a backup menu for those without java is a good idea. But I've been to so many fancy sites where it's required and has no alternative, it's just usually not thought about as much, especially for rookies to anything but html like me. So sorry, I can't answer your question. Maybe try check out the link I put up before, http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm
Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you. I'm pretty much in the same boat. (Guess I shouldn't make anymore suggestions... better keep my deformed script to myself 0.o)
It's a way to seperate your content from your design. It makes it more accessible to users who are blind. Will get you better search engine results. Also it will save you bandwidth, (which means money). It will make your pages load faster... The list goes on and on...
