php display database

hi,m a begginer in php.as m working on display database in html page.i got a question ..

i am able to display database table in html..but i want to change name

for eg. the 1st row contains id,name,department.mobile no.

and i want to put that name into textbox in that display..can anyone help?

@ginerjmSep 17.2014 — Why not put it there to begin with and then just use the edit button as an 'update' button to trigger the next php script that will do an update?
