How does javascript convert ' to single quote char?

Hi there,

You know in html ' represents char ‘. But Google maps marker’s title does not convert ' to ‘. It displays it literally. Does JavaScript has a function converting ' in a string to ‘, such as, convert string “B's Place African Cuisine” to “B’s Place African Cuisine”?

Thanks,

@wowauthorSep 02.2014 — Thanks, the following function does the work. Do you have a better solution?

function decodeEntities(s){

var str, temp= document.createElement('p');

temp.innerHTML= s;

str= temp.textContent || temp.innerText;

temp=null;

return str;

}

Success!
