If we reduce the percentage of website’s bounce rate,it would help to improve the page rank or not?Is there any connection between website Page rank and Bounce rate?
@deathshadowJul 23.2014 — #Page-rank is simply a measure of how many backlinks there are to your site, and what "quality" of sites are backlinking to you. It has nothing whatsoever to do with bounce rate, other than the fact that if people aren't finding what they came to your site to find, they probably aren't backlinking to it.
In many ways, fixing bounce rate is more important than fretting about page-rank. Getting people to your site does you no good if they aren't staying, or turning into conversions!
In a lot of ways people are obsessing over search to the point they neglect everything else -- including repeat business. Ask your average brick and mortar how important repeat business is; anyone who knows anything about business knows getting people in the door is only a fraction of the fight. Selling them something and getting them to come back again is as if not more important.
One customer who visits once a week the next five years is worth a near infinite number of bounces... most bounces being the equivalent of people walking in the door and immediately turnstyling back out.
@tswsmJul 23.2014 — #Both terms act opposite to each other ; page rank should be higher but bounce rate should be lower as much as it can be.
Basically page rank has nothing to do with the bounce rate till the bounce rate is not much high
but
if bounce rate is too much high then of course it'll affect your page reputation. Google will check the bounce rate and see that your webpage's popularity is decreasing. The higher website's or web page's bounce rate shows that people are not interested in your content or it's a fake content means your webpage is not delivering the right information what people want to see. This will make your webpage FAKE in google's terms. So, google can reduce the page rank if your bounce rate is high and if it is too much high then may be google can ban your website too.
@alexjames212Jul 23.2014 — #Page rank as my friends have said there should be high, the page rank ranges from 0 to ten, with ten being the highest. Bounce rate is the rate at which people exits from a certain page in your website once they land there. Bounce can imply two things, first is that the visitors are getting all the required or looked-for information from the single landing page. Secondly, the visitors are not all satisfied with that specific landing page or they even consider it as a irrelevant page. Now, you know that it is ideal to have a high page rank and an intermediate bounce rate. REMEMBER the bounce rate of facebook is around 21.5% and its rank is 9.
