Script for Fading Slide show

I have spent hours and hours trying to find a script for a fading slide show for my webpage….sigh…I am almost in tears…all the ones I have found do NOT work or there is not enough instruction…Is there anyone out there…pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…that could give me the script to insert on my page and the instructions needed to fill it whatever fields necessary….gawdddd…i would love you forever if you could..?……thank youuuuuuuu…?

@David_HarrisonMar 08.2004 — Here's a couple of fading slidewhows that I made a while ago, I have some more complex slideshows that I can cross breed them with if you need more user interactivity. I'm afraid you weren't very specific with your request.

The deformed face in the background is just to show that images are actually fading in and out rather than just having a div tag whose background changes colour.
