@pyroMar 08.2004 — I register all my domains at godaddy, for various reasons. First of all, they are pretty much the cheapest place on the internet to do this. Secondly, if you every change hosting providers, you'll be very greatful you have your domain registered elsewhere. It makes it much easier. I would recommend godaddy, for sure.

@TinaFMar 16.2004 — I use www.DomainSite.com - $6.99 per year.

Their customer service/tech support/response times and web site are all top notch. I have about 20 names registered there.

I used to use GoDaddy and have since transferred those names to DomainSite.

@Compguy_PeteMar 19.2004 — I think the one thing that is missing on our suggestions of Godaddy is this...

They offer a ton of free services that I have found most helpful. for anyone who has not used 'domain forwarding' your missing something ?
Copy linkTweet thisAlerts:
@minulescuMar 21.2004 — So wait...what exactly is domain forwarding??

And if i buy a domain somewhere and then host my site somewhere else...is the user just..."forwared" to my host??

Isnt forwarding a bad thing? For serch engines and what not??

We recently switched to them from one of the leading registrars due to their excellent customer support and great pricing!

@liz123Nov 24.2012 — Godaddy is considered as the best option for registering Domain or for hosting. You can also go with the "Hostgator".

@fcomstocDec 03.2013 — I have never used godaddy, but I have only heard bad things about their support. I really think it is bad idea to host through them, can't say much for domain names though.

All of my domains are registered through namecheap. I have over 20 domains registered with them, their service and prices seem to be ok. I host everything myself through a combo of my own servers and a VPS.

I really like keeping registrations and hosting separate, it makes it easier to change services if you have too, keeps everything separate.
