First off, "infographics" don't have a blasted thing to do with SEO. Where anyone even gets the idea search engines or even users give a flying purple fish about how content is VISUALLY displayed is... well... just plain ignorant nonsense.
Traditionally an infographic is any visual representation of data, and until recently that's all it meant. Real world examples of a 'traditional infographic' could include bus and train routemaps, bar charts, pie charts, arc charts, line-graphs and so forth.
The problem is that today the artsy fartsy types have created a 'new form' of infographics that are just a confusing mish-mash of card stacking and glittering generalities; used by marketing types to dupe ignorant halfwits into believing a viewpoint, with anyone than more than two brain cells to rub together recognizing the misinformation, half-truths and "in your face" presentation to be little more than trying to justify a pre-drawn conclusion with cherry picking of facts.
In either case though, what that has to do with SEO is... well... NOTHING! Anyone saying it does ... well, doesn't know enough about HTML, content or the web to be opening their trap on the subject!
