I have a part developed property website due to the company that I commissioned to build and develop the site being no longer able to complete it.
I have contacted some web developer companies who say they cant finish the site as they dont use the same language and others who say it would be cheaper and quicker to start from scratch. I dont know if either of these replies are true.
Please could you tell me, is it possible for a web developer (who has had no involvement in the site to date) to take a part completed web site and complete the development and design?*
The website is no longer live so I cant post a link to it.
Additional information about the site,
1. The platform that has been used to develop the site is Linux CentOS VPS, using Apache as the Web Server with Tomcat as the App Server so that Railo can be used.*2. The property database is a MySQL Database.*3. The CMS being used is called Mura.4. The site is written in CFML.5. Examples of some outstanding developments are as follows, A. Design and development is incomplete on every page including text, images and links to other pages. B. The SQL Property Database needs completing including development of the data fields and how this data is transferred to the website. C. The site has no Navigation, so this needs completing. D. The bottom of the website has not been designed and new pages need creating (list of links such as contact us, about us, FAQs etc). E. Property filters are incomplete and property specifics such as Garden, Hot Tub etc need adding and linking to the SQL database. G. Some pages need completely redesigning.
