RFID reader into HTML

Hi everyone. I’m new here. I am not sure whether I’m posting in correct section. Sorry if I’m wrong.

I’m currently developing a web application which should take input from rfid reader into the textbox.
the sync for validation on database has been done correctly. for now i’m just using keyboard input.
I need help in reading the card id from the rfid reader directly into the web browser.
I have no idea how to do it. Should use javascript or should create a java applet. Anyone can help?
