How to make documents load faster for those clients using…

I would like some advice on how to make documents load faster for those clients that are still using a dial up connection? I need to allow my clients to download 20 page PDF documents, but some of them are still using dial up connections to access the internet.

What is the best and fastest way to allow them to download or access these files in the most time efficient way via website?

Thank you ?

@NogDogJan 24.2014 — Other than zipping them server-side and sending them the zip file (and I'm not sure how much PDFs typically can be compressed), about the only other option is sending them a broadband modem with prepaid internet service. ? Or I suppose you could send it as an email attachment if you have their email address, and then they just have to wait for their email client to pull it down instead of waiting for your web site to respond -- but that doesn't actually save them any time.

@Kevin2Jan 25.2014 — If you have Acrobat look into "Optimize for the web" or "Fast Web View" for your PDF documents. It allows users to basically load PDFs one page at a time. In other words, they don't have to wait for the whole 20 page document to load before reading/viewing page 1. Pages 2-20 load in the background after page 1 is viewable.

At least that's my understanding... ?
