i need help with new nav bar

i didn’t like the last menu i had, so i got a new one off the internet. One problem i ran into was on the first item in the bar, Home, i don’t want a drop down menu, but i still want it so when you move the mouse over it, the background turns red with white text. How could i do that? I tried, and i always got a little box that popped drop when i moved the mouse over it. That’d be great if anyone could help me….thanks
