I’ve been using FrontPage 2000 for almost a year now, and I’ve never experienced any problems with it… until now.
The hit counters generated by FrontPage are working intermittently. They work when I first upload a page, but if I make any changes to that page and upload it again, the counter resets to “1” and then just stops working (it stays at “1” no matter how many people visit the page or how many times it is refreshed). I’ve used FrontPage hit counters before and I’ve never had this problem before. I’ve noticed that the html code changes once it is uploaded. The only way I have been able to fix it is to open up my domain directly through FrontPage and change the html for the file on the server. This is getting to be a real pain. Any suggestions on what the problem could be or how to fix it (without losing the current hit counts)?
