Images for iPad

On the website i need to update we have a slider at the top of the page with content below it. Everything renders for iPad fine but for the new slider i have added (which is kept in an iFrame) it keeps the desktop sized images meaning they cut off the bottom of the iFrame on an iPad. Is there a way i can implement some script that will detect an iPad and swap desktop sized images for smaller ones for the iPad?

I really do need to change the size of the images rather then the container of the iFrame as they are hot about having as much content visible on screen as possible.

Any help would be great – thanks!
