Database Creation Problem!

I am new to php, is there a tutorial on how to create databases, access them, modify them and so forth. For example, I want a simple file.access with like two columns of data. Then I want a form that can not only access the access file, but update the content or simple delete the info. I know this is alot to ask but like I said, this would be MORE than helpful in my eyes, thanks so much, if anyone has the time or know of SIMPLE tutorials that can help me thanks alot. By the way I do have access to mysql if that matters.

@jpmoriartyFeb 17.2004 — I'd get (and install) [URL=http://www.phpmyadmin.net]PHP my Admin[/URL] - it's a PHP based MySQL interface, but it can create the PHP code for any operation that you perform. It's the easiest way to administer your databases, and you can use it to give you code for tricky operations you want to perform.
