A link between database and dynamically added content

So I’m making a demo web site, where I have a button
Which adds content to the site dynamically. My question and problem is, I don’t know how to make a connection between the specific content and the id’s in the database?

“The content is added dynamically by jquery”

@coding123Apr 28.2013 — If you can post code, I will be able to provide better assistance. For now let's assume you have a button with id. This button would trigger on click event, an ajax call to your PHP script, which handles content retrieval. In your PHP script you would then make a query, based on that id, for the database. With it you would retrieve a row with id, that matches the one from the button. Once you have correct row, you simply pass content back to javascript and display it on page.
