How do I use PHP to write how many records are in the database?

How do I use PHP to write “There are 10 records, etc” on my website.

For example, if I have 10 records in one database, how do I transfer the number to HTML??

@NogDogApr 23.2013 — The same you would output any database query result. It's just a simple [B][FONT=Courier New]SELECT COUNT(*) FROM table_name[/FONT][/B] query.
