You may also like to provide alternative text for your images. Loading times I cannot generally gauge since I am on T-1 which makes standard broadband look slooooow.
Also keep in mind that average user has 800x600 resolution, therefore will have to scroll horisontally through all the pages: making sure your site is viewable in both 800x600 and 1024x768 is a good practice.
On a personal note, I wouln't use this many animated gifs... They may be distracting.
