@ray326Feb 09.2004 — If you search these forums you can find a pointer to a Microsoft they-a-culpa covering that problem. If you were running Firebird you could view source in a much more pleasing manner. The syntax highlighting in Notepad sucks. ?

@fredmvFeb 09.2004 — As Ray has already implied, this has been brought up previously and answered; check the following threads to find your answer:
As Ray has also already implied: get rid of that browser from hell. Use the best browser, bar none — Mozilla Firebird.

@spufiFeb 09.2004 — Since you use Mozilla, download the Web Developer extension for it.

@buntineFeb 09.2004 — The reason you could not view source in IE was because your cache/temporary internet files directory was full..

    Just to clear it up.

@crh3675Feb 09.2004 — You can add a value to your registry:

Type regedit in your command prompt.

    go to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet Explorer

Create a new key and name it "View Source Editor"

Create a subkey under that new key and name it "Editor Name"

Under the default key setting in the right frame under your new subkey, modfy the value data with the path of the editor you want to use.

Here's an image of what it will look like: http://www.nerds.net/~craig/vseditor.jpg

Look under File/Edit Page or Ctrl-E while the page is loaded. I don't go really crazy over their Composer but lots of other folks like it.

@ray326Feb 09.2004 — Thanks for the tip, Craig. I just put SciTE in as my view source.
