Add note-taking functionality to a folio – failing at the first hurdle

I am currently in the process of creating an Adobe DPS folio. To help me with my project I have been trying to follow this example on the Adobe website:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/note-taking-functionality.html

However I can’t even get it to work in safari. I have followed the steps very closely, and there doesn’t even seem to be much (if anything) to change to get a basic example on to go.
I haven’t attached my own code as it is the same the one downloaded from the Adobe site.

What displays when i open addNote1.1.html is the Title, Description, text box that I can type into and a save button that dosen’t click!

Please could someone have a look the code on the page and test it in a browser? I can’t work out if I’m doing something wrong (probably) or the code is incorrect.

Please Help!
