feedback please: experimental 3d flash

Hi guys!

It took me forever to finish it, but I think it will make a pretty good piece for my portfolio. I’d love some feedback!

I know it’s a pretty heavy download, but what I’m concerned about is running speed. How well does it run on your system? (some of the sections use a lot of actionscript) So if you do take a look please let me know the specs on your box so I can get some data.

@spufiJan 21.2003 — I use a 56K modem and going from the start to where you have the four links takes a little over a minute. Having a 56K modem I know what to expect with Flash so I wasn't surprised by the time. Each of the four sections obviously take a good amount of time to load because those sections are rather large. I went and looked at different sites in a different window as the pages loaded. A good thing that you did was having the load bar there to give a people an idea that it might take awhile to load if they have a slower connections. I also thought the quality of your images was really high, and it made me want to sit through the load times and see what came next. If the site didn't show quality, I would have left beofre things ended up being loaded.

so did everything run smoothly once it was loaded? of special note is the Winter theme (the Santa game) -- the shadows on the board are rendered in real time, using actionscript drawing commands, and it can bog down a system pretty quickly. what are the specs on your box?

Everything ran fine on my box, here's the relavent specs...

1.6 GHz AMD Athlon

1 GB of RAM

TI 4200 GeForce 4

DSL Internet Connection

Everything ran just fine. ?
