IE shows diffrent image size than FF, Chrome and Safari

I haven’t been able to figure this out. I added a banner to the site. It shows the correct size in Firefox, Chrome and Safari but shows a smaller size in Internet Explorer. There is no weird stylesheet stuff going on, it’s just a standard image tag and positioning.

The banner in question is FALL 2012 REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN

@George88Sep 25.2012 — To me the banner looks the same in all browsers. Are you defining the image dimensions specifically? Also, how are you placing the image? (CSS or <img>)

@jedaisoulSep 26.2012 — I suspect that the nav bar above the banner is changing size, not the banner. Perhaps that is your problem?
