Need fresh set of eyes for CSS problem

I think I have been working too long on this stuff, and I need a fresh set of eyes because a seemingly simple issue is driving me crazy.

I am working on this site: [url]http://174.120.16.66/~thomasse/[/url]

on the logo, and social networking section, specifically. I am attempting to recreate the layout of that area on this site: [url]http://demo.s5themes.com/boldy/[/url]

For some reason, my code is not having this. If you can help me out, please let me know. Thanks.
