How to run javascript web client in a standalone client

Hello, first time to the forum.

I am currently playing a game called “Spiral Knights” using Mac OS X 10.6.8. The game is launched through “kongregate.com” where it downloads client files to the User folder. The developer also offers a stand alone client for download. According to this thread on the last post,

it is possible to somehow create a shortcut to allow a user to run the stand alone client without having to have the website open etc. Any idea on how this would be accomplished? Can you simply copy and paste the information listed in these steps into a .plist file for the local client? ?

Have already contacted the dev and kongregate and both refuse to assist with providing any login information for the stand alone client, or help with bypassing the web version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
