IE: Send | Page by email

The Internet Explorer function Send Page by Email sometimes loads the currently displaying page, as is, into the body of an Outlook email, but sometimes turns it into an attachment. Does anybody know what determines which option it selects and how to force it to do one or the other?

I would like someone to load Web pages that I have formatted into Outlook so that he can send them on.

I would be willing to bet that is what you are looking for.

@BlimauthorJan 27.2004 — I have those options as well. On mine (IE 6.0) they are:

File > Send > Page by Email ...

and

File > Send > Link by Email ...

My problem is that the first option (send page) sometimes includes the page as as attachment rather than in the body of the email. Is there any way of forcing it to do the latter?

@Compguy_PeteJan 27.2004 — This is only a guess however I would have to say to make all outgoing emails in HTML format.

The idea being that if it's set to text it could only make the page your sending as an attachment.

@BlimauthorJan 27.2004 — That was a good guess, I thought you had solved it, but when I checked the Mail Format option in Outlook it was already set to HTML. Drat!

Is it possibly related to security patches? IE or Outlook?
