@hmsgoddessJul 06.2012 — #I have Dreamweaver CS4. I did copy the code and created a HTML file in DW and it did come up. It is HTML5 so any Dreamweaver below CS5 may return errors, as the doctype and other web coding is not there. Secondly, this is a image heavy document, and it also has several CSS files as well. I did get an error from DW saying that some javascript files were missing, the SWF files to be precise. Hope this helps you.
@hmsgoddessJul 06.2012 — #DW is one of the only ones that people can really tell you use. Most other editors do not leave the same type of evidence that DW does. I was just letting you know that I was able to get it to come up in DW.

My current #2 choice.

Ok if you are merely dealing with client side code. Fails for something that deals with server side code. I at least left Komodo Edit on my PC after trying it out. Notepad++ was gone within minutes.
The PHP flavored version of Eclipse Helios is my preferred editor.
P.S. DW was awesome until the open source wave hit and people released free editors. DW offers me nothing I need and does so at a ridiculous price.
@holyhttpJul 10.2012 — #The site could be build by hand or any editor then converted into a theme. It really does not matter which editor was originally used to create that theme. I've look at the HTML and you should not have any problem making edits in DW if by edits you meant text, images and such.
Keep in mind that elements defined using an absolute path such as CSS styles will not be editable unless you download a copy from the server.
Despite all that it's not an impasse to make changes as long as you have all the files required locally so you can make tests before committing those changes.
