The only designer program I use is dreamweaver. The rest of the time, I use notepad++.

Notepad++ is that the notepad that windows provides, and if so, when I put the code in, how exactly does it work. I mean you open a file and open the page, but how do you see your code you put in etc. And what do you save it as to see your results.

My mind keeps telling me I must go back to graphics as Im definitely not technical, but now its become an obsession to conquer this, In dire need of some new skills, Dont have a job or anything. And it isnt easy being in the wrong country either. So thats why Im trying to turn to webdesign, cause it can be done from anywhere and when I go back overseas, I really dont feel like working in a factory again. Well, suppose I should be grateful if I can just get a job there,. But, Im always trying to better myself, even if its a last cause.

@cootheadMay 26.2012 — Hi there wildguy2,

Widows comes with "Notepad.exe" not "Notepad++". ?

I've never considered using anything other than the former and two pinkies. ?

You may find the following information mildly interesting. ?

    As well as what coot said, you can even select a half finished html page, right click and select edit/open with, notepad/notepad++. Then when finished just X/close at the top right and click yes to save changes. It wont alter the .html ending but will save the edit.

    Wildguy, this is notepad:

    This is notepad++. You will find it far easier as it breaks up your code, numbers lines and highlights different code areas. Really makes it far easier on the ole eyes:

    Another advantage of notepad++, is if you google "w3c validator" and paste in your link to your webpage, it will check your code for you and tell you where the errors are. So when it says error on "line 233", you can scroll without counting in notepad++ to line 233 easily.
