If a file is in the "file" input, can I make the background green?

Ok, so I have a form with a little override that makes the input (type=file) thingy invisible, so it looks like a text-input box because the TD is styled the same as the input (type=text) fields… So my issue is, when you select a file to upload, the file-name doesn’t show up because it’s invisible…

So, my TD has the ID “titlecontain” — can I make it so that “titlecontain” gets an override for the background-color to be green (not “background” but just “background-color”, and something like #0000CC will work perfectly) when a file is selected to be uploaded?
