Swap image upon clicking submit button?

I have an image submit button, and I want it to swap to a different image when it’s clicked, and stay that way for the few seconds until the page refreshes.

I’m using Dreamweaver rollovers elsewhere on the page, so I tried this code for the submit image:

<input type=”image” name=”imagename” src=”image.gif” onMouseDown=”MM_swapImage(‘imagename’,”,’alt_imagename.gif’,1)”>

But it doesn’t work; image does not change. I tried onMouseOver just for grins and nothing happened with that either.

Can anyone help? TIA!!! ?
