Validate different parts of a multi-step form?

Hi again everyone – hope you’re not sick of me asking questions – my form is almost finished so a huge thanks to everyone who’s helped me – couldn’t have done it without you!!

Anyway my final questions: Can I have a validator that validates each step of the form separately?

it’s one long form that has hidden “pages” to create the steps. I can get my normal gen validator to work ok, but it only flags up any errors at the end rather than at each step.
