Drag to reorder and send sequence info via html-form?

Ok, so I want to be able to reorder “div”s or “li”s (whichever is easier, I guess) and have a submit button that passes the “sequence” information (like if I drag the fourth one to the second position, it will knock-down the 2nd and 3rd ones and change the input-values of 2-3-4 to 3-4-2) to the form-processing thingy… so that when the page loads later it will show the “new” order of the photos.

Any thoughts?
