trying to align this floating menu

look at the menu, im trying to have it lock on the side of the table, and i cant figure it out, any help here would be greatly appreciated.

@JavaboeyMar 15.2012 — Make a container div. Set it's width. Everything lives in there. Make a side-menu div. Set it's width to however wide you want. Make a main-content div. Set it's width to however wide. "Float: left" the side-menu div and apply how every much margin-right you need to space the two sections apart.
