Online store tutorial

I have looked at alot of tutorials now but they all seem to be outdated. is there i really good tutorial for building the basics of a online store.

i did find this.

there you are theres 5 links, top one is a single one but all the others are multiple applets, functions and complete carts, the last link has over 100 resources on that page, some may be usful some may not be free but im sure you will find what you looking for on here and there all php ?

I have some books coming from work about PHP and MySQL and just wanted to make a very simple cart. just add item then item is added.

OsCommerce is the best but it is very conplex and i want to make something myslef becuase that is way to big.
