Hello,
I’ve designed a new skin for my forums, however I’ve come across an issue with the way IP.Board handles the drop down menus.
This is a universal error with all resolutions and browsers.
I’m running IP.Baord 2.3.6 and the menus are positioned automatically through the use of JavaScript. The issue begins with the skin I’m using, which uses the same HTML/CSS as our homepage, so it’s more like an integration.
I know exactly why the issue occurs, I just don’t know a workaround for it.
The issue begins with this:
[CODE].mid {
margin: 0 -5px;
padding: 0 10px;
position:relative;
}
Because that’s set to relative in order to align to the left of the skin, it messes with the JavaScript and off puts every drop down menu. And whilst I’ve tried to add a negative margin to the drop down menus it’s only a temporary fix for some browsers and only certain screen resolutions.
Now, my JavaScript is a little rusty so I’m unable to correct the issue through the use of that which is why I’m here asking for your advice.
The website in question is [url]www.pure-warfare.com/forums
The relative CSS files are css_29.css and dark.css.
The relative JavaScripts are ips_menu.js and ips_menu_html.js.
Thank you for anyone who attempts to help me fix this, whether successful or not. ?
Regards,
Karl
