Can multiple occurences of the same text block be penalised by Google?

Hi,

I have a site which I am working on which someone else intially produced. This site has a block of text which I need to animate, but because of the way the site was contructed the only way I can get the text to animate is to have the text appear on the page twice and animate the seccond occurence of it. Does anyone know if Google would be likely to penalise a site which does this (just on 3 pages of a 30 page site)?
