two layout problems

Hello,

Im testing a new background and run into 2 problems.

1) The site layout is messed up in IE9 but looks good in FF.
The header is in the right position but the part under it is messed up.

2) The area around the header stays white instead of the background.

Anyone who can help me figure out how to solve these problems ?

@rtretheweyJan 31.2012 — You've got an invalid <!DOCTYPE> statement. It starts with two "<<". Fix that and I bet the problem goes away.
