Executing JSON files in HTML

The JSONS file name is manifest.json This is for clearing the cache on Google Chrome, its a widget.

The json file is fine, but heres the html code:

<style>
body {
min-width:357px;
overflow-x:hidden;
}

img {
margin:5px;
border:2px solid black;
vertical-align:middle;
width:75px;
height:75px;
}
</style>
<HEAD>
<script src=”manifest.json”>
{
function displayMessage()
{
alert(“Cache is cleared!”);
}
</script>
</HEAD>
<body>
<CENTER>
<form>
<input type=”button” value=”Click to clean” onclick=”displaymessage()” />
</form>
</body>

</CENTER>

All i need is to import/execute the json file in the HTML .

Thanks in advanced
