Looking for directory creation software

We are looking for software that will display a directory on our site similiar to Yahoo, Google, etc:

Arts
Architecture, Artists, Crafts…

Business
Advertising and Marketing…

Computing
Internet, Software…

The directory itself will be links that we gather and save in a repository (to be determined).

It is important to be able to have multiple subcategories. Arelis makes a great product that would suit our needs except it only goes one level deep.

I have looked into TurboSeek and PowerSeek, but as yet cannot go in that direction as they require perl, cgi.

The potential number of links will be over 50,000 quickly, so I’d rather not script this myself.

Any ideas?

@ray326Jan 15.2004 — Without some kind of server-side scripting or CGI you'll have to just maintain the site as a boat load of static HTML pages.
