lost in js

Could you please look at this js file … it should be placing a drop-down menu at a specified div … i’m not sure how it is working and i am getting a js error saying that “x is null or undefined” …. thanks for any help, I am pretty lost ?

@JupacJan 13.2004 — It isnt a good idea to use JS for navagation. scince 13% of web veiwers dont have JS

@cutpochauthorJan 14.2004 — well here is my dilemma .... I have some top navigation and I want to drop down a box with links to other pages in my site and I want it to be formatted in a specific way.... i have included an image of how I want it to look .... any ideas? Thanks!
