Iframes and Modal windows… what happens when…?

Hi everyone,

I am about to start work on a project for a client and was wondering if anyone has tried out the following scenario???

I have a web page which contains an iframe.

Within the iframe are 2 buttons. When a button is clicked, it opens a modal / light window.

Will the light window fill the area of the iframe or the entire web page? My guessing is that it will fill only the area of the iframe. Is it possible to fille the entire web page that contains the iframe?
