How to create PDF files on a server with PHP

Hello,

I have an e-book which will be sold on a website. When somebody purchases this e-book, I would like to create a small watermark using the customers e-mail address at the bottom of the each page in the .pdf file.

Does anybody know how to do this? Is this possible with PHP, or do I need to install a special program on the server?
