[RESOLVED] Insert problem

Hi,

Does anyone see why the following is giving me a SQL syntax error?

[code=php]$trac = ‘INSERT INTO track (place, when, unix) VALUES (“‘ . mysql_real_escape_string($whodat, $link) . ‘”, “‘ . mysql_real_escape_string($when, $link) . ‘”, “‘ . mysql_real_escape_string($how, $link) . ‘”)’;

mysql_query($trac) or die (mysql_error());[/code]

The variables are all good (I’ve echoed them to make sure) and I just can’t see what’s causing the problem.
