Can I make Google disregard my SSL

Hi. I have a site that was running with an SSL certificate for a while. When I put ads on the site, they were causing alerts like “Non secure items on a secure page. This website’s security may be compromised” (That’s not the exact wording, and it’s different in every browser, but probably everyone has encountered this message at some point).

Anyway, I removed the SSL, but google searches still return my urls under the https protocol.

I was wondering if there is a way to make search engines ignore your ssl. I put this thread in the HTML forum because I thought the solution might have something to do with meta tags.

Thanks.

@cbVisionSep 19.2011 — You'll want to sign up with Google Webmaster Tools. This should help you re-index your site. You may want to try adding an exclusion to your robots.txt file:

@PacopagauthorSep 21.2011 — Thanks very much. I tried what you said. I opted for the php solution because I understand it better. I guess I just have to wait until I get crawled again.
