Creating a online ads submission

Dear all, im a novice in this field..out of my interest i would like to create a community in a website that could actually allow visitors to send in their messages or ads for free.

Can anyone advise me on how i could do this. It goes something like this:

a. Visitors type in their message and category and click send.
b. The latest messages are then display at the main page, according to category, for all to view.

Its similar to forum, not not that kind of thingy.

@advincauthorJan 12.2004 — Hi pyros, you mean its some sort of CGI thingy? Understand that the server have to support this type of function but do i have to write that prog myself? Or are there any easier software in the market that could actually generate this online posting platform?

Also, you'd have to describe what you are looking for a bit more thoroughly. I'm not exactly sure what it is that you are looking for

@advincauthorJan 12.2004 — Ok Pyros, thank you so much. Could you recommend any PHP software whereby i can learn and create PHP function by myself...? Those types of user-friendly (like FrontPage)without too much of hands-on code programming. Im a idiot for programming language.

@pyroJan 12.2004 — Unfortunatly (or, fortunatly?) once one gets to more advanced programming, there aren't always the shortcuts that HTML affords. With PHP, you'll have to learn the language, and hard code it. If you do not want to do that, there [i]may[/i] be something pre-written that does what you need, but nothing jumps to mind. Other than that, you could also hire someone to write it for you, self included.
