javascript function persists in cache

I have removed the definition of a certain function from a third party plugin, and also removed all found references to this function throughout the code. The purpose of the function is to display an emoticon. However, it seems that if I refresh the page a few times, the emoticon appears sometimes, but not always!
It appears this function is cached somewhere, but I have deleted my browser’s cache already. Any other suggestions?
Also, I can’t figure out why the emoticon only appears sometimes, as if randomly. If the function is indeed cached somewhere, and I couldn’t find all of its references, then the emoticon should appear always?!?

@twseitexJul 12.2011 — Hi

HTML 5 can store userdata in html5-owned storage inside of browser.

After parsing an function - code needed but frome where ?? - browser runs function.

Browser chache realy empty ? Use tool like CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/

Be offline during test auf code.
