contenteditable div | hitting enter problem

I have several contenteditable divs that are used to post information, however whenver I hit the enter key to move to the next line, a line break is created and the div duplicates.. or one of the two). The link below are the before and after hitting enter while using the editable div.

hitting shift+enter however nearly works correctly..
