Face recognition and editing script needed.

Hello,

I’m in need of some kind of guidance/suggestions related to recognizing the human faces and to edit the parts of the faces.

Let me explain the requirement of what exactly what I need to do,

The website is basically a cosmetics related where the user can upload their photos and can be able to change the makeup styles by selecting the products (As in lipstick, eye shadows, nail polish etc.). This is similar to creating an avatar and changing the hair styles dresses for a cartoon character using flash.

I want to know whether this kind of functionality for a real human face is possible with PHP or either JQUERY.

Hope it makes some sense and if needs a more information for this please let me know I will explain in detail about my requirement.

Any suggestions or advices are welcome.

@GB_001May 09.2011 — This would mostly be client side(javascript) or a program on the server. You'd have to write a program which analyzes the picture via facial recognition algorithms.

Not completely sure about tutorials, I know that it deals heavily with set algorithms, you'd have to google.
