I have a client that would like the font size of the email posted to them from the forms on their site to be larger. Is there a way to do this or is it a function of their email client preferences?

But it depends also, on how you generate the email. If it is in HTML format, you may style it, but only locally (in each tag which contains the text). E-mail client tools usually don't accept embedded scripts, thus they will not interpret the embedded CSS codes.
If the user has set his email client to accept HTML format and he hes not set the override fonts properties, the local styling should work. If not, not.
